Duffy Theater

Laughing at the Duffy theater, the funniest character of the show was Scruffy and the 2nd funniest was Wiremu. In the theater there was lots of laughter, dancing as well as singing which was cool all together.

There was lots of scenes but my favorite scene was the book shop, where there was a fake Sony Bill and he was getting a birthday present for his daughter Emmy. The present was a book called "The best book in the world". In the book there was Marvel who was in the main character in the book.

I enjoyed watching it, and I cant wait for next year to come. I am so happy that they came this year.

Netball

The ball came at me like a rocketed into my chest.This wash't as easy as i thought in my head.Then the team that we were playing scored into one of the goals that was the score In the corner.It was fun playing but at the same time it was hot.

Our couch was name is Lizs she was from Auckland school.She showed us how to a chest past.After she taught us the chest pass she showed us the bounce pass.

Experiencing Netball was fun can't wait to do it again.

In the holiday I had Niue athletics at lord elsmore athletics center .The team that I race for was called tamaki and the team that we went up against were called harbour,mountain, manurewa, and Mangry.After waiting for the ten year old boy to be called up to the starting line and finally we got called up. waiting for the gun to go off and then bang off I went down the line I came first and in the finals I came 2nd .

I have changed a lot this year and so has my learning . This year is so better with netbooks than with a book and pencil. This year learning is fun to and half of the time we are learn buy our self. Having a netbooks made writing easy and you get to show it on your blog so they can see you learning.

Having a netbook is faster to reaches online as well. If we what to find out some thing we just look on the Internet and find it out. Having a netbook is a fun way to learn and resesech.

On the 9th of December Point England school had prize giving. At prize giving lots of kids got lots of prizes like trophis , and lollies nickles. I went to the prize giving to suport my mates in Rm 17. The year 5s got their prizes first then it was time to see there item.There item was like they were taking it back to the 70s.It was hot but that night was cool.

When I was sailing solo I crashed three times in the boats.The first crash
was when I was doing tiler to the sail, that's when crashed in the girls boat. Me and Dillon went on each side of the boat moved in to the girls.

I was sailing solo as happy as I could be on a boat , un till I stared to pick up speed. When it stared to pick up speed it became harder to control. The boat started to slow down, and then then boat became easier to control

Not Fit

When we got to Kawau Island, on our first day we had to go on a long hike up a step hill. We hiked and hiked until we got to the top. When we got to the top ,I thought we would go back to camp but we had to keep going but this time we had to go down hill.

As we were all walking up the hill my legs acted LIKE crase. After walking up hill we had to walk down hill and as my legs were still aching . to top it off I fell over and some one landed on me.

The chef was a awesome old man called Mr Coop. Mr Coop he is the best chef. When you teats his food you will what some more.The best thing that I like about Mr.Kupe is that he makes the best beard.

Waiting to go in side,you can just smell the fresh bread. Munching away on the bread,you just can’t stop eating the bread. The bread was so awesome I wish that I can have it all the time .

Camp Benzon

Can’t wait to go to Kawau Island there is lots of activates.The activate that I am look forward ,to is jumping off the walf.I am filled with excitement and. I just can’t wait to go to Camp.

The place that we are going to Camp Benzon and that’s in the North Cove. Camp Benzon is on Kawau we would have to chacth the fairy to get there.
The Island is 8km away from the shore.

The thing that I am look forward to is jumping of the walf .Jumping off the walf will be awesome .
The reason why I am looking forward to ,jump off the walf is because it lots of fun.

The thong that will be challenging for me is the ‘Burma trail.The ‘Burma trail
will be challenging for me, is that you can’t see were you are going.

liking away on my ice cream then,I got BRAIN FREEZE!
The icy cold feel in my mouth.The cold and good tasting ,ice cream was melting away in my mouth as well it tested SO GOOD!

Sitting on the mat waiting to go and get my ice cream comet and take it outside.Waiting for our teacher Miss Garden to scoop, the delicious icy cold soft cold ice cream out of the container.

Running outside to go and get some hundreds and thousands.The ice cream comet was melting away on my hands.Then hundreds and thousands were get put on my hand and the ice cream. Then put my ice cream comet on a ice cream cone.

The ice cream was so delicious that I, started to eat it slower and slower to make it last.Some of the ice cream started to drip through my finger.Yum yum liking my hands .

Looking around there was lots of kids with ice all over there face. There were lots of kids just put their hole ice cream in the mouth. Most of the kids were scavenging,for more ice cream.

YUM YUM wish i can some, more ice cream comets on a hot day.

The holiday-program and I was on the bus on our way to mini golf when, we had to pull over because the motor in the bus was over heated. The motor had cool down but ,when the bus driver started the bus it didn't work.
He got the bus going and taught we wee going but we just reversing .

I was getting bored waiting for the bus to come. Me and the rest of the kids were waiting half an hour for the bus(it was boring).Then at last the bus came our way to pick us up.

We where traveling to mini golf again . Me and my mates in the holiday-program where playing yellow car or truck ,when all of us got to mini golf we had lots of fun. (I sicked at mini golf).

We had lots of fun at mini golf but, at the end of the day I was the loser.

The team that got the 2nd try was the Manley Sea Eagles.The Manley Sea Eagles right side winger,got pushed out by ManuVatuvei then the Sea Eagles winger did a back pass. Then Manley catches the ball and gets the 2nd try of the game.

The finial try was soccer was by Manley Sea Eagles . That made the soccer 24 to the Manley Sea Eagles and 10 to the Warriors.That means the Manley Sea Eagles have won for 2011.

I 'm going to tell you about a game that I have learnt in Maori. It is called Maui and Matau.

You have to Hold one stick then you have let go of the stick that you were holding to move. You move a step to the left or the right depending on whether the leader calls maui or matau. Then you try and catch the other stick in you new place.

At the start of the lesson I felt excited to lean how to play
badminton.When we started to get rolling I felt like I was not going so good.The reason why I
was not going so good, because i was tired from running around tyring to keep the shuttle from hitting the ground.

In the middle of the lesson ,I kept missing the shuttle trying to serve.When I kept missing the shuttle I new I could hit it with more perseverance and determination .When I tyred it one more time the shuttle went over the net.

When I was challenging the aether team with my partner I kept hiring pining sounds.
When I hitting the shuttle with my racket it made a pinging sound.As will as pinging sound I kept hiring whirring and whizzing sound coming from my racket.

Me and my partner rallyed for points.We kept hitting ,it over the line time after time.I was running backwards and forwards because he hit it short and then some times long.

Room 17 needs a courtyard makeover immediately.

In winter it gets crowed on the hard courts ,then fights
and argument starts and little kids get hurt.There is no room to play
because there is more children in our school now.

Room 17’s courtyard is a waste of space.Our courtyard is, a waste
because not much kids use it. It gets treated like a trash bag.
Which is not good at all.

Unfortunately, our courtyard is not a cool place.It is not a very cool place to hang out with your friends.Our courtyard is boring too ugly and not cool or awesome at all.

This Movie is about a cloud called cloudly and a stork, these are the main characters. This movie is set up in the sky.The movie starts off with lots of storks flying around and dropping, things at people houses like baby and cats and dogs.There was one stork that had a hard job because his boss made bad things like a alligator,a baby goat that is called a kid and the stork. At the end of Partly Cloudly, the stork that was working for him went and flew
to another cloud and that made his boss mad ,he made lightning and then the stork that was working for him came back wearing football gear and thats were it ended.

Piriniha and I have add a sun shade in our courtyard plan.This is so
our courtyard can be nice to play in, not just siting down on having a
boring lunch time. I didn't find much information about sun
shades.

I have an idea to put some of our art work outside. The art work that I was

play. Me and Pirinha might ask Miss M our art teacher to help us .

Redesigning My Computer Mouse

Miss Ouano,told us that we were going to redesign a computer mouse. My mouse that
I have designed is wireless. It has rabbit ears for the right and left click, as well as aircraft wings and a sting ray tail. If you have a usb it will work on any computer.

The reason why I have design the mouse like a half rabbit and jet because
I like animals and like jets.The computer mouse has fur so it can be nice and soft
as you are doing your work.

Swimming Lessons

I was thinking if I should go in the medium pool swimming big pool swimming
with Mr Marks. I...... was go to the medium pool but instead I went to the
big pool with most of my friends.

When I went to hop into the pool it was freezing cold like I was a ice cream only insed I had goosebumps. I quickly put
my head state under the water just to get warm .

As I was doing do back stroke I was not doing that good.When I started back stroke
I thought It was going to be easy.But instead it was harder then I thought .
Mr Marks said keep going Logan so I did .

Freestyle was easy er for me because I known it better then bake stroke.Mr Marks said off
you go and I went.I got pass one person and I finished before him.

I like swimming but I don’t like it that mach.But I have really liked going swimming
and I wish I can do better next time .

First you roll up four tubes like telescope.Then you have to cut the tubes in small and big
pieces.Next you would have to attach the tubes together and it would have to be
on a right angle.You have to have a stand to hold your structure up.

We had anther challenge but this time we had ten pieces of news paper and we had five teen minutes.My team and I started to build our structure but the table was to big a our structure
was to small so by the time for test fun our hole structure fail a part.

When Miss Ouano, told us we were going to build some thing with new paper that
could take a Mabel from the table to the ground.I was really excited to build

Me and the team that I was working made tubes we had to attach the pole
of news paper to the aether pole made out of news paper.The Mabel was going
down the pole.The materials the we all used are six pieces of news paper and
one meter of cellotape .

My group had to quickly come up with a idea to make different idea from the
rest of the class .Our group had a good idea and the structure was mostly
made out of poles.

I felt like the team that I was working with didn’t go so will because of structure
it kept falling down.The structure look good at first an till we started to add more paper
to it and we had a good idea to.

When I was walking home on Wednesday 18th of may I got chased
by two pit -bulls(those are dogs). When I was walking home from school ,I look
over my shoulder and two pit-bulls were chasing me and I run
as fast as I could to outrun those pit-bulls. As I was sprinting through the
park where the dogs were trying to get me ,I got half way through then the dogs
stopped running after me and it was safe for me to start walking again.

I went zooming on my bike to the Pt england Reserve .On the way I saw a ramp and then
I started to go faster ,as I was zooming to the ramp I got there and went flying on to
the road .I biked with no hands all the way down the street. At the end of the street I fell of the bike.

I have been biking lots of times. I’ve have ‘t fallen off for a long time.I’ve biked with no hands more then once and haven't fallen off either. I’ve even been of ramps millions of times too . I wish that I haven't fallen off my bike.

Japan Doudle Disaster

On Friday Japan had a double disaster happen, it was tsunami and an earthquake. Lots
of people died in the earthquake. Some of the houses were completely annihilated .

When the earthquake had happened it made a big fire as will an a explosion. On the richer scale
it was 8.9. The blaze of was out of control and there was another fire not far from a lot of
houses. Lots of people were going to find some civilians that were lost under the debris.

After the earthquake had happened a tsunami came . The tsunami made a fire
and two explosions at a power plant. The tsunami covered most of the coast of Japan.
Lots of the debris was going out to sea.

Big Foot Adventure

I was feeling great when I saw people from the Bigfoot adventure. We went to see them

in the middle block.They were talking all about bike safety. We were listening attentively to Tony telling us about bike safety precautions.
So once we had learnt about how we knew that our bike was in good working order we put on our helmets ready to ride. Our helmet was carefully adjusted until it was tight and snug.

As I was racing around the obstacle course,that had ramps and cones, I pushed myself

over the limit making me crash. As I jumped over the ramp really fast, going crazy, my wheel slipped and I crashed to the ground. I got back up, jumped on the bike and finish the course.

Bigfoot Adventures was lots of fun. I hope they come back again.

Christchrch earthquake

Christchrch had a devastating earthquake with buildings that were crushed flat. There was rubble all over the streets
and cars and buses were crushed. There debris was everywhere.

When the eathquake struck with no warning it was chaos.peple were injered and missing
under all the rubble. Rescuers were searcing all over Christchrch for civilians. People
were runing for safty .

Going To The Maritime Museum

On Tuesday 27th of July Room 15,14, and 18 went to Maritime Museum. Our tour guide was Salty Sam. He was a gruff and grumpy old captain.He bellowed orders as he took us on a guided tour. We saw miniature ships and great big ships.

On the second part of the tour we went in a replica of an immigrant ship‘s cabin, to see what it would have been like for immigrants coming to New Zealand on an Immigrant ship. There were
bunks in the cabin and there was one spot which smelt and Kobe, Darius and Gabriel were
sitting in it. Yuck!

Our 2nd slot was called Aramoana and our guide was Judy. She took us to watch a movie
about Polynesians coming to New Zealand. The movie was in a circular room that had
three massive screens and hard wooden forms . Mrs Squires snuck in through the door just
in time . And that's the end of this story

HALLOWEEN

It was Halloween on Sunday and people were going trick or treating,
but not me. I was going to go, but my mum changed her mind so I could
not go. I was going to dress up as a tooth fairy.

I saw lots of people walking down Bagnell Ave . Someone came and knocked on the
door and my family made out like no one was home. Then I saw my
mates going trick or treating. I ask my mum again and she still said ‘NO’
so I said ‘OK then’.

Only one parson came to our house that was because I put my dog
on the front yard .So that meant no one could come to my house .
It was cool because now no one came to the door step
because we did not want to gave our lollies out.

On October the 11th it was time to go back to school.When my sister and I got to school
we were thinking “what is the topic going to be?At 8:50 the 2nd bell rang and it was time to go to the school hall for ,Immersion Assembly. Teachers were dressed as in all the kids were looking at them. Mr Burt our principal he slithered and crawled all the way from the back of the hall onto the stage and he was dressed as a nasty mosquito.

When Team 3 had finished ,then it was Team 4 ‘s turn .They were showing a video of bees acting and showing what bees life were like in a colony .The queen, Mr Barks was dressed in a curly wig, tiara and Christmas decorations he was laying eggs.
He had working bees working for him. When the last eggs were laid Team 4's turn was over .

Cross Country

Watching the senior races for the cross country I felt stink because I couldn't run. I have been
home sick this week but came today because if I stayed home people will think I am wagging school.
A lot of kids were happy for cross country because most of them were not in school clothes
but were in their house colors . When the second bell went we lined up out side to go to the courts for cross country . The whole school was there. Kids got into their age groups like 5,6,7,8,9 10,11,12, year old.
It was like little mice running all over the place but then we all sat down on the court. Mr Burt
said, ‘11 year old children are going first.” I saw kids running with all they've got.
Then it was the 10s and the 9s . It was cool watching the little kids run because they tried their
best. In forty min cross county was over and there was just one more thing to do. The team leaders had to perform their chant.

Maritime Museum

about Polynesians coming to New Zealand. The movie was in a circular room that had
three massive screens and hard wooden forms .Mrs Squires snuck in through the just
in time before the movie started.

Cross Country

Watching the senior races for the cross country I felt stink because I couldn't run. I have been
home sick this week but came today because if I stayed home people would think I am wagging school. A lot of kids were happy for the cross country because most of them were not in school clothes but were in their house colors.

When the second bell went we lined up out side to go to the Cross Country start over by the Court. The whole school was there. Kids got into their age group like 5,6,7,8,9 10,11,12, age. It was like little mice running all over the place.

Bigfoot Adventures

I was feeling great when I saw people from the Bigfoot adventure. We went to see them

in the middle block.They were talking all about bike safety. We were listening attentively to Tony telling us about bike safety precautions.

So once we had learnt about how we knew that our bike was in good working order we put on our helmets ready to ride. Our helmet was carefully adjusted until it was tight and snug.

As I was racing around the obstacle course,that had ramps and cones, I pushed myselfover the limit making me crash. As I jumped over the ramp really fast, going crazy, my wheel slipped and I crashed to the ground. I got back up, jumped on the bike and finish the course.

Bigfoot Adventures was lots of fun. I hope they come back again.

Immersion Assembly

As I walked in then door I was amazed by the bright colors that the teachers had all dressed up as. It was our Immersion Assembly in the hall for our new topic.
As soon as Mr Burt waited for us to be quiet he told us about our new topic.
After team 1 and 2 and after team 3, team 4 came up with a quiz show. The host Maggie magma introduced her best and beautiful assistant Mrs Lavalava, (After Maggie Magma just introduced Mrs Lava lava) Next she introduced the contestants, Mrs Cinder and Miss Lahar last but not least Miss Bionic Election Super Sonic. Then the game started. Miss Lahar was saying funny words like mouse [Miss N.P CoolerLava had a similar name to miss Lavakula. Miss Cooler Lava said that the volcano in Iceland was one of the aunt of her family. After the Immersion Assembly I thought that what we were going to do this term is going to be all about volcano's all around the world.

Last week we played Capture the Flag. Before we were playing Capture the Flag Room14 and 15 were all excited.
After that we walked down to the bottom feild Miss King said "Go!" So some people started to guard.I got the flag and I ran like the wind. I got a point.
Starford ran like the wind too. It was fun as we worked as a big team. The last game was a tough game but Starford got the last point so we won Capture the Flag then the game was over.
