Not So Bad After All

Our shoes in the mud were going swish swosh as each step as we took.
The Pt England reserve is where our cross country took place. The Pt England Reserve grass was muddy also wet.

On the 17th of August we had cross country. It was a fun and muddy course. In the mud it felt like we were a little child running in the mud.

Staff from our school were out on the course to watch cross country happen. Telecom Volunteers were out there on the Bushwalk that was apart of the reserve.

Cross Country was a long distance course. The course was long distance it made me Exhausting. Over all I had a great time doing cross country and it was fun.

Nature or Nurture

What makes a great athlete? Does someone know? Well here is my opinion , what makes a good athlete is hard work and desire puls dedication.

Take Dick Quax for example, he used hard work and determination. He used these to win a silver medal in the Edinburgh Commonwealth Games for the 1,500 meters. He has won another silver medal  for the 5,000 meters in Montreal Olympics in 1976. Quax’s athleticism has inspired many people .

Hard work, desire and dedication makes a good athlete. Dick Quax is an great example of this. Nature or Nurture? It  is about Nurture,  it’s about how athletes use hard work to achieve their goals.

Muhammad Ali
Muhammad Ali was a professional American boxer, he won the heavyweight championship title three times. Ali started his boxing career back in 1954.

He won 6 Golden Gloves contests and he had won a Olympic gold medal in Rome in 1960.

The reason why I chose Muhammad Ali  is because he was an awesome boxer. His footwork was astonishing, he had powerful  punches  with quick reflexes as fast as lightning.

He has inspired  me with the most determination and strength. I would like to be like Muhammad Ali in  his boxing skills.

I would like to thank Stevie and  Naomi for looking at my work.

"When Is It The Right Time To Swear"

"US bans swearing"

In a small town near Boston, in the USA has voted to fine people who swears. If people prohibited loud then they will be fined. If they swear they will be fine 20 (U.S) dollars.

"When it is the right time to Swear"

It’s  never the right time to swear. It not nice to swear in front little kids because they might pick it up and copy you. Swearing can just come out when you are angry or it just yourself . Swearing  is used to hurt  people or they use for no reason at all. Swearing, is what some adults use.

Thanks to Kevin for looking at my work and Stevie.

Sky diver

Can you jump from 2km high without a parachute. Try this link to show the action http://www.kiwikidsnews.co.nz/

Stuntman Gray connery jumped out of a helicopter . He jumped from 2 km high. He is the first person to jump from this awesome height without using a parachute. Gray landed  safely in 18,600 of cardboard boxes.

Wing suit is a sport  to fly the human body through the air using, a jumpsuit, called  a wingsuit. The wingsuit has a surface  to increase the human body to lift up. The wingsuit is not like a parachute as it spreads out to slow the skydiver down.
