I 'm going to tell you about a game that I have learnt in Maori. It is called Maui and Matau.
You have to Hold one stick then you have let go of the stick that you were holding to move. You move a step to the left or the right depending on whether the leader calls maui or matau. Then you try and catch the other stick in you new place.
It was a good game - tricky though. Do you think we could adapt it so it could be played with something other than long rakau?
