My reading group read about thug chai which are Vietnamese fishing boats. I have written instruction on how they are made.

1.Cut long poles of green banboo

2.Scrape off the outer skin.

3. Slice the poles into thin slats.

4.Weave the bamboo .

5. Lashed bamboo around the rim .

6.Put the sticky resin on the boat.
